"Alex was such a help during the early months of my son's life and has helped us occasionally as he's grown. I tend to care a lot about details, so I appreciated her calm, laid-back presence in our home. She was non-judgmental and waited for me to ask before offering advice, which made me feel more at ease.
One of the things I appreciated most was how good she was at soothing my son. I remember many times when he needed a nap and I would let out a sigh of relief knowing she was there and would get him calm and asleep in no time.
She also took the initiative to help out with organizing things like the nursery and the kitchen. She made a few small but smart tweaks to how we had things set up--like reorienting the rack in our bottle washer so it worked better--that made a real difference.
